Kuwait – Extension of suspension of services

08 April, 2020

The designated operator of Kuwait, Kuwait Postal Sector, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Government of Kuwait has decided to extend the state of emergency until 1 May 2020 and to implement additional reinforcement measures intended to minimize the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

As a result, Kuwait Postal Sector is currently unable to meet its contractual obligations, particularly with regard to the acceptance and delivery of all types of mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) and the tracking of shipments (capture and transmission times).

Therefore, the situation of force majeure declared previously is to be extended until 1 May 2020.

Kuwait Postal Sector thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
